These words stayed with me after visiting an emergency refugee shelter in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost this week. I was taken back to my childhood, visiting my family who just arrived from Afghanistan. As kids, we always found joy and played together until our parents had to say goodbye.
Sitting in the Kids Corner, surrounded by compassionate people working tirelessly to support refugee families, we discussed how StoryKid can provide a truly child-centered approach, one that creates a safe and healing space for children to express their emotions and share their life stories.
StoryKid is partnering with refugee workers, psychotrauma experts, tech entrepreneurs, and storytellers to build something meaningful and complementary to traditional treatments.
